2. Hosting and Provision of the Website
This website is hosted via Netlify. When you access the website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary connection data, in particular your IP address, date and time of access, the file requested, referrer URL, and browser and operating system information. This processing serves the secure and stable provision of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in the secure and reliable operation of the website.
The provider is Netlify, Inc., 44 Montgomery Street, Suite 300, San Francisco, California 94104, USA. Processing in the USA cannot be ruled out. Where required, data transfers are based on appropriate safeguards pursuant to Art. 44 et seq. GDPR. A data processing agreement should be in place with the provider.
3. Contact Form and Inquiries
If you use the contact form, I process the data you enter, in particular your name, email address, phone number (if provided), project type, message, and uploaded files. This processing is carried out solely to review, handle, and respond to your inquiry and to initiate or perform a contract.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR insofar as the inquiry is aimed at a contract or pre-contractual measures. In other cases, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest lies in the proper handling of incoming inquiries.
Form submissions are processed by Netlify Forms and stored in the Netlify dashboard. The contents may also be sent to me as an email notification.
4. File Uploads
You may voluntarily submit files. Please only upload files that are necessary for your inquiry and for which you hold the required rights. Please do not submit passwords, access credentials, or special categories of personal data within the meaning of Art. 9 GDPR unless this is expressly necessary and agreed upon in advance.
5. Voluntary Consent to Email Marketing
Only if you actively select the optional checkbox will I process your email address to occasionally send you information about relevant services, news, and offers. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 7 of the German Act Against Unfair Competition (UWG). Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time with future effect by emailing stegbauer.social@gmail.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out up to that point.
Before marketing emails are sent on a regular basis, the sign-up should be verified through a confirmation procedure (double opt-in).
6. Fonts
This website embeds fonts from Google Fonts via Google servers. In doing so, your IP address may be transmitted to Google. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; processing by affiliated companies in the USA cannot be ruled out. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in a consistent and technically efficient presentation of the website. Hosting the font files locally would be more privacy-friendly.
7. Cookies and Tracking
This website currently uses no analytics, marketing, or tracking cookies of its own. No analytics tools, maps, or video embeds are integrated. A consent banner is therefore currently not required. If services requiring consent are integrated in the future, the website will be adapted accordingly.
8. Storage Period
Inquiry data is stored only for as long as necessary to process the inquiry and for possible follow-up questions. If a contract is concluded, the statutory retention periods under commercial and tax law additionally apply. Files and form submissions that are no longer required are deleted, unless legal obligations or legitimate interests prevent this. Any marketing consent given is documented until withdrawn or until its purpose no longer applies.
9. Recipients
Recipients of personal data are only the technical service providers necessary for processing, in particular the hosting and form provider Netlify and, where applicable, my email provider. Data is only passed on to other third parties if this is legally permitted or required, or if you have given your consent.
10. Your Rights
Within the scope of the statutory requirements, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. You may withdraw any consent given at any time with future effect. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is in particular the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht) if you wish to complain about processing by my business.
11. SSL/TLS Encryption
This website uses an encrypted HTTPS connection. This protects transmitted data from unauthorized interception during transport.
12. Updates to this Policy
This privacy policy will be updated if features, services used, or legal requirements change.
